Built on Three Pillars of Responsibility

Our guidelines were collaboratively developed by diverse industry voices to ensure that AI product development upholds the highest standards across every dimension of impact.

🌱

Environmental

Accredited organizations commit to measuring and minimizing the environmental footprint of their AI systems, from compute energy use to hardware lifecycle considerations.

💼

Economic

We evaluate the broader economic impact of AI products — ensuring that development practices support equitable growth rather than concentrating benefit or displacing communities.

🤝

Societal

Society deserves AI that respects human dignity, privacy, and fairness. Our standards hold organizations to strict principles around bias mitigation, transparency, and public safety.

Our Principles, Transparently Stated

ForeverGatorFuture's guidelines are openly published and were crafted collectively by industry members across sectors. There are no hidden criteria — what you see is what we evaluate.

Section 01

Mission & Purpose

ForeverGatorFuture exists to fill a critical gap in the AI development landscape: the absence of a credible, industry-led private standard for care, responsibility, and accountability.

We believe that the organizations building AI products bear a profound responsibility — not just to their customers, but to the communities and ecosystems their technologies affect. Our accreditation is a signal to the public that an organization takes that responsibility seriously.

All guidelines within this document were developed collaboratively by ForeverGatorFuture members representing technology, policy, environmental science, and social impact sectors.

Section 02

Organizational Structure

ForeverGatorFuture operates as a nonprofit governed by a Standards Council composed of rotating industry members. No single corporate interest may hold a majority of seats on the council.

  • The Standards Council convenes quarterly to review and update published principles.
  • A separate Review Committee evaluates accreditation applications independently.
  • All changes to principles require a supermajority vote and a public comment period.
  • Annual financial disclosures are published and publicly available.
  • No accreditation fees are charged; funding comes from member dues and grants.
Section 03

Environmental Principles

AI systems carry real environmental costs. Accredited organizations are expected to take measurable steps to understand and reduce those costs.

  • Report compute energy consumption annually, including training and inference loads.
  • Publicly disclose data center energy sources and progress toward renewable energy use.
  • Adopt hardware lifecycle policies that minimize e-waste from AI infrastructure.
  • Conduct and publish annual environmental impact assessments for major product lines.
  • Set meaningful, time-bound reduction targets and report on progress.
Section 04

Economic Principles

The economic effects of AI — on labor, on communities, on wealth distribution — are real and demand intentional stewardship from developers.

  • Assess and document the labor market impacts of deployed AI products.
  • Maintain fair compensation and working conditions throughout the supply chain.
  • Avoid predatory pricing structures that create access inequality.
  • Support workforce transition programs where AI displaces existing roles.
  • Engage in good faith with regulatory bodies and community stakeholders.
Section 05

Societal Principles

AI products touch the lives of real people. Accredited organizations hold the highest standard of care for human dignity, privacy, and fairness.

  • Maintain robust bias testing and mitigation processes across all AI outputs.
  • Publish transparency reports on model decision-making and limitations.
  • Uphold user privacy as a foundational design principle, not an afterthought.
  • Avoid deploying AI in applications that endanger vulnerable populations.
  • Maintain accessible, human-centered appeal and redress processes for affected parties.
Section 06

Compliance Framework

Accreditation is not a one-time award. It is an ongoing commitment, renewed through demonstrated adherence to ForeverGatorFuture's principles.

  • Organizations submit annual self-assessments covering all three pillars.
  • The Review Committee may request additional documentation or conduct interviews.
  • Organizations are reviewed in full every two years by an independent panel.
  • Accreditation may be suspended or revoked upon violation of principles.
  • All accreditation decisions are documented and available upon request.

Questions about the compliance framework may be directed to our Standards Council through the registration form.
